Religious Education

Religious education for ages 5 through 13 is held every Sunday during the school year between the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Divine Liturgies. Children are introduced to the Catholic faith with an emphasis on Byzantine Rite traditions. Activities include bible study, catechism, religious traditions, and creative activities. On occasion, a guest speaker will be invited to explain various aspects of our traditions, including icons, singing liturgical responses, and various prayer services.

First Solemn Holy Communion preparation is an important part of our religious education program. Through instruction by our teachers and clergy, our students prepare to receive the sacraments of First Confession and First Solemn Holy Communion during the month of May.
